Mood:  happy
Now Playing: PugFest Update from May 31, 2009

Hi All

May 31st may not have been the best weather day, but it certainly was a fun day for our Pugs! The rain held off and we were able to meet, greet and enjoy some fun events with our Pugs.

There is nothing like a good old fashioned play date to make new friends and get reacquainted with friends of the PugFest!

We had a great turnout of 125 Pugs registered! I am sure we had more but some forgot to register.

We saw a lot of new Pug families this time – it was great to see so many new additions to the PugFest.

It is good to see so many new Pugs – lots of babies too!

Our time together passed so quickly that I wished I could have had more time to speak to each and every one of you. Next time, be sure to introduce yourselves to me so I can meet all of you and your furbabies.

Hopefully I will soon have pictures to post on the web site. If you have some photos you would like to send me to add to the web site – please do!

We had some special pugs I hope to add to the web site as well.

One is Homer – a working pug and another pug – pays visits to seniors homes – please send me a short blurb to go along with your pictures!

I also think that  Mrs Wiggles is a special Pug because she is a singing Pug! Please send me a short blurb about Mrs. Wiggles and she too, will be added to our special Pugs.

Here are the winners of the games and contests :

The cutest wrinkles:
Timmy

The Tail wagers:
Russell
Walter

Agility:
Sophie
Gracie

Stay Command:
Oscar
Baba

The famous Pug Race:
Ziggy
Onyx
Homer

The door prize:
I forgot to record the winner of the Pedipaws nail grooming kit.

We had two older Pugs:

Kalkin 13yrs
Bailey 14 yrs. 3 months

Regards,
Anne Moreside, Cora and Clancy

Hello Pug Lovers!

Just a quick note to remind you that the next PugFest is being held on the last Sunday in May – on May 31st  from 10am to noon!

So mark your calendars now so you won’t miss out on the fun!
I plan on bringing the PugFest back to its’ roots of being a meet and greet and fun games for the Pugs.

I found that there was too much commercialism entering into our two hour get together. It was starting to cost money just to attend a play date! That was never my intention. The Pugnic and PugFest were founded as a gathering of Pugs and their owners to share information and have some fun with their beloved Pugs.

So, this time, we will have time to chat with one another and get helpful tips and how to’s from our fellow Pug owners.

The games will continue – especially the now famous Pug race!
There will be some prizes for the Pug athletes who win the events plus a door prize of course!

Since I am the sole organizer of the PugFest, I am looking for volunteers to help out with the registration and games.

If you are interested in helping out, drop me an email (annem@oxfam.ca) and we will coordinate the activities together!

Hope to see all of you there with your fur baby Pugs!

Best regards,
Anne and her Pugs, Cora and Clancy
